Help provide funding for CAAS programs

More than 90% of CAAS’ current revenue is “restricted” to funding our Head Start program. There are two big reasons why we need unrestricted funds: our anti-poverty work includes many more activities than those funded by Head Start, and a broad base of unrestricted donor support is attractive to large foundation and corporate donors. All unrestricted funding CAAS receives comes from foundations and individual donors like you!

Our unrestricted funding supports our Housing Advocacy and Community Organizing Programs. Individual donations and foundation/business support provide us with a source of flexible funding that we can use to fund these ongoing programs and respond to emerging needs as they arise. Donations in the form of regular, monthly installments provide CAAS with more funding reliability and allow longer-term planning for programming and services throughout the year.

With strong foundation and donor support we can focus less on where funding will come from, and more on eradicating poverty, preventing homelessness, and helping income-limited neighbors connect with essential services in Somerville and Cambridge.
