Head Start

Center Director

The Head Start Center Director works collaboratively with the Education Coordinator and Education Director in monitoring the delivery of high quality education services in a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom for children 3 to 5 years old in accordance with EEC regulations and Head Start performance standards. Education Director

The Education Director is an important leadership role at CAAS that comes with significant influence and support from our knowledgeable and well-resourced team. Lead Teacher (Preschool)

The Head Start Lead Teacher oversees and implements a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom for children 3 to 5 years old in accordance with EEC regulations and Head Start performance standards. Head Start lead and assistant teachers work as a team and in close collaboration with parents/caregivers and family and supportive services staff to ensure that children and their families are prepared for Kindergarten. Substitute Teacher (Preschool)

The Head Start Substitute Teacher works on an on-call basis, and supports the classroom teachers in providing a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom for children 3 to 5 years old in accordance with EEC regulations and Head Start performance standards. Read More >








Housing Advocacy Program

(Temporary) MVP & PASS Case Manager

The Somerville Municipal Voucher Program (MVP) provides rental subsidies to families with children enrolled in Somerville Public Schools who were previously severely rent-burdened and facing the chronic threat of displacement. The Prevention and Stabilization Services (PASS) Program supports Somerville residents at risk of homelessness and assists those who are already homeless in securing long-term housing. This temporary Case Manager position's duties include conducting client intake and maintaining a caseload of 30 to 35 households. Read More >
